Description
Dan Gibson E.P.M. Parabolic Microphone
Long Range Listening Device used by Federal Agencies & State Police
A high performance electronic microphone. The P650 can be used separately for listening without the use of an external recording device. Recommended for voice recording as well as higher frequency recordings. Complete with built-in microphone capsule, equalizer-amplifier, earphone, aiming sights, effects/voice switch and vinyl carrying case.
Quality
The controlled dynamic capsule provides complete pick-up from the full reflecting shield. The shield is constructed from patented plastics that accurately reflect lower frequencies in the voice range in addition to the normally expected higher frequencies. The directivity of the EPM rejects unwanted background noise, giving it the highest signal to noise ratio possible. The specially developed plastic reflector and rugged microphone assembly make it highly desirable for use in the most difficult and demanding situations.
Sensitivity
The EPM is capable of picking-up and magnifying signals up to 75 times that of a normal omni-directional microphone while remaining virtually impervious to overload. Incorporated within the electronic microphone is a modular circuit to produce amplification of the signal, and feed its high-efficiency monitoring headset. Virtually flat response is accomplished by internal electronics: 130Hz to 18,000Hz (+/- 5dB). Output impedance is a nominal 150 to 600 Ohms (low impedance).
